Comparison

The best website agencies for home builders in 2026.

An honest comparison of the firms builders and developers most often shortlist, including the ones we compete with. What each one is built for, where it is based, and how to choose.

Short answer

A home builder shopping for a website agency keeps hearing the same names: Sitework Digital, Blue Tangerine, Builder Designs, Lasso Up, and ONeil Interactive. Sitework builds custom sites the client owns, for the construction industry only, with a month to month plan after launch. Builder Designs and ONeil are built for production scale, Blue Tangerine is the broadest full service option, and Lasso Up sells a yearlong growth program. The right one depends on your size, your inventory, and how much you want to own.

The five, side by side.

Us first, then the rest alphabetically. Everything below about another firm comes from that firm’s own website as of October 2026. If we have something wrong, email us and we will fix it.

Sitework Digital

Nashville, Tennessee, remote in all 50 statessiteworkdigital.ai

That is us, first because it is our page and you should know where we stand. We work only with the construction industry: home builders, land developers, multifamily developers, commercial and general contractors, and pool builders. Every site is custom, built against a fixed written scope, and the client owns the domain, hosting, analytics and content on platforms they can take anywhere. There is no proprietary platform to leave.

After launch there is an optional Care and Growth plan, billed month to month, that keeps the site current as communities sell out and plans change, plus SEO and AEO work to get the builder found in Google and in AI assistants. Our hands on market is Middle Tennessee; everything else is remote.

Best fit: custom, spec and regional builders and land developers who want a site they own outright and a studio that stays on after launch without a long contract. Not the fit: a national production builder with thousands of homes who needs a listing feed engine at scale. Builder Designs and ONeil are built for that.

Blue Tangerine

Tyrone, Georgiawww.bluetangerine.com

A home builder marketing firm that says it has been trusted by builders for more than twenty years. The service list is the broadest on this page: builder websites, home listing feeds, interactive site plans, sales office kiosks, SEO and generative engine optimization, paid search, social media, geofencing, email marketing, and analytics and reporting.

They also run a Builder Marketing Summit, a builder marketing podcast, a blog, and homebuyer research studies, and they hold Google Partner status. Pricing is not published; the site asks you to request a quote.

Best fit: a builder who wants one vendor for the whole marketing department, and especially one who needs interactive site plans or a kiosk for the model home.

Builder Designs

Olathe, Kansaswww.builderdesigns.com

Websites and digital marketing for home builders, in business since 2008. Their site reports 438 active builder websites across 43 states, with tens of thousands of active homes and thousands of communities displayed across their client base. That scale is the pitch.

Two paths: custom designed websites, and BluPrint, a prebuilt template line described as a lower price point with a quicker turnaround. Marketing services cover content strategy, blogging, social media management, email, and SEO. Pricing is not published.

Best fit: production and regional builders who want a volume specialist, and smaller builders who are comfortable starting on a template.

Lasso Up

Case studies name Nashville and Florida clients; no office address on the home pagelasso-up.com

A growth marketing agency organized around attract, nurture and convert: brand and website design, then content, SEO and social, then paid ads and lead generation. Home builders are one of three primary industries, alongside med spas and B2B services companies, and the site also names general contractors and remodelers.

Two ways to work with them: one time projects for brand and website work, and growth marketing programs on twelve month contracts. The site states more than ten years in business and more than 300 companies served. Pricing is not published.

Best fit: a builder who wants a committed, yearlong marketing program with lead generation built in, and does not mind that construction is one of several verticals.

ONeil Interactive

Hunt Valley, Marylandwww.oneilinteractive.com

A home builder website firm built around Homefiniti, their own website engine for builders, which they describe as the industry’s premier high performance website platform. Services listed are website design and development and optimization, and their portfolio runs from local builders to national ones.

The company line is websites that make money, with an account manager model referenced on their blog. Pricing and founding date are not published on the home page.

Best fit: a builder who wants a purpose built platform with inventory and community features out of the box, and is comfortable that the platform is proprietary. Ask what leaving it would look like before you sign.

Five questions to ask every one of them.

  1. Who owns the site, and what happens if I leave? You want your domain, your hosting account, your analytics, and your content in your name. If the answer involves a platform you cannot export from, price that in.
  2. What does the site look like twelve months after launch? Communities sell out and plans change every quarter. Ask who updates it, how fast, and what it costs.
  3. Show me three builder sites you launched, and their community and inventory pages. The home page is the easy part. The pages that sell homes are the ones underneath it.
  4. Who writes the copy and directs the photography? If the answer is you, budget the time, because those two things decide whether the site converts.
  5. How will I know it is working? The answer should be leads and tours with a source you can see, not traffic or rankings on their own.

Questions builders ask about choosing.

Who is the best website agency for home builders?

It depends on what you are. Sitework Digital builds custom sites the client owns, for builders and developers who want a studio that stays on month to month. Builder Designs and ONeil Interactive are built for scale and production inventory. Blue Tangerine is the broadest full service option. Lasso Up sells a committed growth program across several industries. Match the agency to your size, your inventory, and how much you want to own.

How much do home builder website agencies charge?

Most of the firms on this list do not publish pricing, and neither does the industry as a whole. The honest answer is that a builder website is quoted against scope: how many communities and floor plans, whether you sell standing inventory, and what has to be built to update it. Ask every agency for a fixed written scope and price before any work starts, and ask what the monthly cost is after launch.

Should a home builder hire a builder specific agency or a local generalist?

A builder specific agency already knows what a community page, a floor plan page, and a move in ready listing need to do, so you spend less of the project teaching them. A local generalist may be cheaper and closer. If you go local, show them three builder websites you admire and ask them to explain why those sites are structured the way they are.

What is the difference between a template builder website and a custom one?

A template starts from a fixed layout the agency has used before and fills in your content, which is faster and cheaper and looks like the other builders on the same template. A custom site is designed around how your buyers actually shop and how your sales team actually works. For a builder with a few communities and a strong brand, custom usually pays for itself in leads; for a builder who needs a site live in weeks, a template can be the right call.
